Vibration Damper with Armor Rod

(1) For ADSS cable: Due to its light weight and small diameter, there is high vibration frequency for ADSS cable. We developed this special 1 kg damper to decrease the impact tobending stress by bending stress for ADSS cable. The structure of damper heads are tuning fork and its anti-vibration frequency band is wider than FG, FD dampers, so this damper is widely used for ADSS cable. There are 4 resonant frequency with better effect for the frequency 5 - 150 HZ.

(2) For OPGW cable: The structure of damper are also designed in special tuning fork type, which can generate 4 resonant frequency covering the vibration range by OPGW cable. The vibration will sharply decrease after installing this damper, and the damper will keep stable vibration frequency to get good effect for vibration, which will eliminate the fatigue of conductor to make sure the cable normal operation.

Notice:

(1) There is no need to install any armor rods if the dampers are directly installed over structural reinforcing rods.

(2) The armor rods need to be installed if the installation sites of damper are calculated in cables, and it must to keep at least 50 mm from the end of armor rods to the end of structural reinforcing rods.

(3) A little deviation is allowed to install on the structural reinforcing rods if the installation sites of dampers are placed in dead-end component, but the distance should be more than 50 mm from the center of damper to the end of dead-end component.

(4) Direction of damper head: The big head of damper towards to pole or tower.

Direction:

(1) The dampers should not be installed directly on ADSS/OPGW cable.

(2) The quantities required to install in every span is according to the running tension of cable, span and terrain, and the configured quantities generally are as following.
